Susan A. Crane is Associate Professor of Modern European History at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on thematic issues of collective memory, historical consciousness and historical photography, particularly in modern German history. Current projects about to appear in print: contributing editor, The Cultural History of Memory in the Nineteenth Century (Bloomsbury Publishers, 2020) and author, Nothing Happened. A History (Stanford University Press, 2020).
